The National Theatre of Ghana and United States Embassy, Accra in a collaboration with the Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs of the US will hold a four-day workshop from 30th May to 3rd June 2022 at the National Theatre of Ghana under the auspices of Next Level.
Next Level is an international music and cultural exchange programme sponsored by the Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs, USA. It is run in several countries around the world. The programme includes workshops and performances for recruited participants and highly qualified groups of American Hip Hop artistes.
It aims at reaching divergent groups and facilitate sharing and collaboration between the American and beneficiary artistes and participants and their communities.
Intercultural exchanges, community building, and conflict resolution are vital in the aims.
In Ghana the workshops will tackle dance, beats making, graffiti art and rapping/emceeing.
The workshop will be held over four days at the National Theatre premises. A performance will be produced from the workshop that will include the American artistes, which will be opened to the public.
The artistes are also expected to visit Schools, Community centres to organize workshops.
