Iranian Cultural Attaché Dr. Amir Visits National Theatre to Foster Cultural Collaboration
On May 6, the National Theatre of Ghana welcomed Dr. Amir Heshmati, the Cultural Attaché of the Iranian Embassy in Ghana, for a diplomatic visit aimed at deepening cultural ties between Ghana and Iran.
During his meeting with Executive Director Mr. Henry Malm, both parties discussed the Theatre’s ongoing initiatives and explored ways to strengthen bilateral cultural cooperation. The conversation focused on fostering cross-cultural understanding and promoting collaborative programmes between artists and institutions from both nations.
The visit highlighted a shared commitment to creating mutual opportunities for cultural exchange, including joint performances, artist residencies, and educational workshops.
As part of the experience, two of the National Theatre’s resident groups — the National Drama Company and the National Symphony Orchestra — delivered captivating performances to honor the guest and showcase Ghana’s rich artistic talent.
Mr. Henry Malm reaffirmed the Theatre’s readiness to support and facilitate such international partnerships, stating his commitment to promoting global cultural exchange and learning.
