Exciting Educational Tour: T. I Ahmadiyya International School Visits National Theatre“
On 27th November, a group of enthusiastic school children from T. I Ahmadiyya International School embarked on an exciting educational tour to the National Theatre in Accra. This fantastic trip provided the students with a unique opportunity to explore Ghana’s rich cultural heritage and learn about the country’s vibrant history and arts.
Miss Joyce Bekoe, Public Relations Manager, warmly welcomed the students and briefed them on the National Theatre’s history, architectural design, resident groups, and mission.
She highlighted the theatre’s mission to develop, promote, and preserve Ghanaian culture, and shared the various performances and events they host.
The students were taken on a guided tour of the facilities, including the main auditorium, rehearsal halls, Chinese Garden, the Amphitheater, and art galleries. They had an immersive experience, learning about various aspects of Ghanaian culture, including traditional dance, music, and drama. The students were also introduced to the theatre’s impressive collection of Ghanaian art, featuring works by renowned local artists, including ceremonial drums and the iconic Slaves Sculpture.
This educational tour provided the students with a valuable learning experience, allowing them to connect with Ghana’s rich cultural heritage and appreciate the importance of preserving traditional arts. The visit inspired the students to explore their own creative talents and interests.
